Windows Phone 8 has an easy to use task manager. It allows you to move between different open apps in a smooth and fluid fashion. Here’s how to use it to switch between your apps and get things done.

To access the list of open apps, just hold the Back touch key on your Windows phone and it will pop up. Here I using HTC’s new Windows Phone 8X.

Now you’re able to swipe left and right between open apps. The grooviest part is that you see exactly what’s happening in each one of them.

Now just touch the one you want to go to and it comes to the forefront.

    This is great but how do you then close some of these apps on your phone?

    Select the app you want to close then hit the back arrow (tap not hold) until you end up back at the live tile home screen. when you go back into the task manager by holding the back arrow you will see that app window will be gone.
