How to Add a PIN to Protect Your Netflix Account Profile
We have shown you how to restrict mature Netflix content from kids. And Netflix has added some new parental control features. One example of this is the ability to add a PIN to your profiles. The feature is called “Profile Lock” which adds an extra layer of security to your account. Here’s how to use it.
Add a PIN to Netflix Account with the Profile Lock Feature
To start you will need to launch Netflix in a browser. Then log in to your profile and click your icon in the upper-right corner of the screen. And select the Account option from the menu.
Now scroll down to the Profiles & Parental Controls section and click the down arrow. That will bring up some settings you can change. Select the Change link next to Profile Lock.
Next, you need to enter in your account password.
Next, check the box which says, “Require a PIN to Access Your Account” and enter a PIN number that you want to use. You might also want to check the “Require account PIN to enter new profiles. This will prevent your kids or other members of the household from creating new accounts. When you’re all finished click the Save button.
That’s all there is to it. Now anytime you need to access your account you’ll need to enter the PIN you chose. You’ll know which profiles are secure by a small lock icon under the profile.
If you want to change your PIN in the future, you can go back into the settings and change it back.
